Keep Saturday 24th May free – Pride March Adelaide is bringing you an event that you won’t want to miss. It’s called PRIDE and it’s a fundraiser for this year’s Pride March happening on Feast’s opening night in November. Some of Adelaide’s favourite queer entertainers will donate their time and talents to perform with pride for Pride, for a night to remember
Adelaide’s award winning Luke Ashby, captivating songstress Jude Elliot, the remarkable Lord Stompy and big talent Eric Kuhlmann feature in the line up. Brenda Baklava, Kaboobie and Shimmer Chernobyl will shine. Stand up comic Lori Bel and Chantilly Lee Lee from 2TightPants guarantee a good laugh. Margie Fischer and her Famous Performing Dog Troupe make a guest appearance plus Adelaide’s very own Gay and Lesbian Qwire will sing songs of love and solidarity. DJ Game will play chilled out grooves throughout the night and The Bad Father, a futuristic blend of cabaret, surrealism and old fashioned pop featuring Nathan Little and Amy Bodossian are part of this extraordinary line up.
To add to the entertainment there’s a silent auction offering amazing items of a bizarre and interesting nature. To keep stomachs happy, we’ll be serving delicious homemade Indian pakoras all night.
Higher Ground features a bar, great coffee and snacks, plus it’s a great space to enjoy yourself in good queer company.
Tickets are only $18 or $12 concession. Support a great cause – Pride March Adelaide. By coming along, you’ll be helping this dedicated voluntary community group make this year’s Pride March bigger, better, more loud and more proud than ever.
