At 62 years of age Helen Lightburn has chosen to create a story of her life through painting. As a Lesbian for 36 years she has had many life impacting experiences.
“Art is an expression and a great way to demonstrate how wonderful life can be” Helen said.
Helen’s art is diverse and as unique as she is by using colour and passion to give the viewer their own experience.
This is Helen’s first exhibition and with excitement and hesitation she is presenting her life in art form during the June long weekend.
Helen is very confident that she is not alone in some of her experiences but her exhibition is about celebrating the person she is now and through courage, strength and integrity her life if full of joy and wonderment.
